From 20–26 April 2026, Alcova returns for its 11th edition, expanding across two architecturally significant sites that reflect contrasting facets of Milan’s urban fabric.

This year introduces a new chapter within the Baggio Military Hospital–a vast, post-First World War complex in the Primaticcio district, opened to the public for the first time. Its raw, layered interiors provide a backdrop for experimental installations and emerging practices.

Alongside it, Alcova activates Villa Pestarini, the only Milanese villa designed by Franco Albini and, until now, largely inaccessible. The juxtaposition of these two sites–one institutional and expansive, the other domestic and refined–underscores Alcova’s ongoing interest in context, history and spatial narrative.

As in previous editions, the platform continues to foreground independent designers and boundary-pushing work, using the city itself as a framework for discovery.
