5VIE Design Week 2026 takes on QoT – Qualia of Things, shifting the focus from connectivity to perception.
Drawing on the idea of “qualia”–the subjective experience of sensing and feeling–the programme explores how objects engage emotionally and sensorially, rather than through data or function. In contrast to the logic of the Internet of Things, 5VIE proposes a more intimate approach, where design is defined by atmosphere, material and personal response.
