Six renowned interior design firms from around the globe—1508 London, Champalimaud Design, Meyer Davis, Nebras Aljoaib, Romanek Design Studio and Simone Haag—have descended upon Palazzo Donizetti, creating contemporary spaces within the 19^th-century residence. Open to the public for the first time, the palace stars a wrought-iron staircase and frescoes, stunning backdrops for the vignettes weaving in pieces from over 180 Italian artisans and artists. Each designer took a different approach. Consider 1508 London’s entertainment room, which recalls a clubby, 19^th-century salon, or Champalimaud’s bedroom dressed in handpainted wallpapers, all reached by way of Haag’s elegant foyer.
