Ettore Sottsass at Triennale Milano

The newest instalment of Sottsass exhibitions awaits

Architteture Paesaggi Rovine, the latest addition to Triennale Milano’s Ettore Sottsass exhibition series, comprises the 20th-century Italian architect and designer’s drawings and sketches that explore architecture, landscape and ruins. Curated by Marco Sammicheli with Barbara Radice and Iskra Grisogono from Studio Sottsass, these works, bolstered by excerpts from text for the 1992 Ruins series, are on view in Sala Sottsass, home to Casa Lana. A permanent installation at the art and design museum since 2021, Casa Lana faithfully reconstructs the vibrant interior Sottsass designed for lithographer Giovanni Lana’s Milan residence in the 1960s, offering keen insight into his creative process.
