The Amsterdam-based artistic practice presents Illuminated Transitions at Isola Design, a choreography of light and colour in collaboration with Lumus Instruments

Providing visitors to Milan Design Week with a moment of calm and contemplation amid the hustle and bustle of the fair, Rive Roshan will showcase their work at Solidified – a group exhibition at Isola Design that will also display the works of Rick Tegelaar, Jesse Visser, Umut Yamac and Form Editions – with Illuminated Transitions.

Featuring reflective, sculptural art objects by the Amsterdam-based practice, the exhibition also incorporates a mesmerising light play. Created in collaboration with Amsterdam-based technological-lighting studio, Lumus Instruments, Illuminated Transitions is the pair’s first site-specific installation in Milan.

‘We want to delve into the way that light interacts with our work, how the objects catch light and refract, reflect and project light,’ explains Golnar Roshan, who co-founded Rive Roshan with her partner Ruben de la Rive Box. ‘The greatest challenge with light is that it is not tangible, it can be quite unpredictable, but it transcends space and time.” says Golnar Roshan, who co-founded Rive Roshan with her partner Ruben de la Rive Box.
