Fashion and architecture meet with swagger at Armani/Silos

Words by Harriet Thorpe

Fashion and architecture meet with swagger at Armani/Silos, a 1950 grain silo transformed by Japanese architect Tado Andao into a serene, curvy temple to the fashion brand Armani. There’s plenty of smooth sculptural concrete, fifty years’ worth of glamorous fashion pieces on display and a stylish cafe with a terrace. Currently on show, an exhibition of cinematic black-and-white portraits created in collaboration between photographer Aldo Fallai and Giorgio Armani (1977 – 2021).
